Buch Construction has been retained to build out an aging Rockville office building for Montgomery College. Developed in 1989 for IBM Corp., the 115,282-square-foot building was last occupied by Lockheed Martin Corp. The college’s foundation paid roughly $12.6 million for the building with the goal of consolidating three locations into a central one. The newly renovated office building will house several administrative services and is scheduled for completion in Spring 2017.

BUCH worked with Macy’s, one of the nation’s leading retailers, on their 425,000 SF expansion of their Raritan Distribution Center. Completed just in time for the holiday season, this center was integral to Macy’s operations on the east coast.

The BUCH team worked through unseasonable rains at the start of site work and managed to maintain schedule, all while keeping the existing warehouse fully operational. A total of 12,098 truckloads of dirt were exported from the site, the largest in BUCH history!

Every year the Washington Business Journal recognizes the region’s fastest-growing companies with a criteria based on number of employees and consecutive annual revenues. BUCH was honored to be ranked 37th among other local companies in 2015.

After receiving the award, Matt Little was asked what has made BUCH Construction successful. He stated that the key to our success was building a solid foundation of respect as well as collaborating closely with our employees and clients to mutually achieve our goals. We gladly accept this award and look forward to continuing our growth in 2016.
