President, Carl Buch leads Buch Construction’s strategic growth and guides the direction of the company. With a Business Administration degree from Elon University, Carl brings both practical and formal experience to the role.
Senior Vice President, Michael Buch oversees all Buch Construction project teams. He ensures each project is staffed appropriately and focuses on building and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Controller, Denise Buch heads Buch Construction’s financial operations, bonding capabilities, insurance and banking. Denise holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from University of Baltimore.
Executive Vice President, Peter Bulcavage oversees Buch Construction’s base building, interiors, and retail project teams. Peter has been an integral part of our team since 2004 and brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, including stints with top CM firms. A native of the Washington, DC area, Peter graduated from Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Penn State. Service-oriented and quality-driven, Peter ensures that our projects meet the needs and visions of our clients, building long-lasting relationships through his passion and commitment.
Vice President, Jeff Chi manages Buch Construction’s daily operations and strategic planning. He brings more than 27 years hands-on experience in engineering design, construction, investment development and working for corporate owners on a range of projects. Jeff holds a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from University of Oklahoma, an MBA from Texas A&M University, a graduate degree in Architecture and an undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering. He is a member of the Maryland Structural Engineers Association, Maryland Realtors Association, National Retail Federation, Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.
Vice President, Allan Reed oversees Buch Construction’s projects ensuring teams implement each project properly, stay ahead of schedule, uphold product quality and follow up promptly on client requests. Allan has been an integral part of the company since our inception in 1984. With more than 30 years hands-on construction and field management experience, Allan began his career as a carpenter and worked his way to his current position.
Vice President, Gonzalo Martinez provides support to the project teams with respect to budgets, scheduling and constructability. He has been an integral part of our team for almost two decades, bringing with him more than 25 years experience. Gonzo began his career as a carpenter’s apprentice, focusing on construction for a range of retail clients and quickly moved on to corporate interiors. In 2006, he was promoted to Vice President of the Interiors Group and in 2016 was promoted to his current position.
Vice President, Field Operations, Mark Ward oversees field operations, assigns project teams and coordinates manpower and company resources. He routinely visits job sites to ensure project schedules, quality and safety meet both the customers’ satisfaction and our standards of excellence. With almost three decades construction experience, Mark has been part of our team for nearly two decades, having gained in-depth understanding of the trades and management style from hands-on experience. Mark is also an active member of the Board of Trustees of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Carpenter & Apprenticeship Committee.
Vice President, Interiors, Stephen Bulcavage generates new business opportunities, builds client relationships and manages our interiors team. He has been an integral part of our team for more than a decade, bringing with him more than 16 years industry experience. Steve is a native of the Washington, D.C. area and graduated from Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Towson University, where he also played football. Steve has continued to build his industry expertise, becoming a LEED AP and obtaining additional state licenses to help broaden Buch Construction’s geographical work area.
Vice President, Construction, Zach Schneider oversees Buch Construction’s retail and base building operations, building the company portfolio and strengthening client and industry relationships. Zach began his career at Buch in 1998 and worked his way up through Asst. Superintendent, Project Engineer, and Project Manager, most recently serving the company as a Senior Project Manager. Zach has supervised roughly 2.3 million SF of base building, retail, large scale renovations, industrial, financial institutions, and tenant interiors. In addition to his work at Buch, Zach has been a fire chief for the past 5 years at the Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department in Sykesville, Md.
Vice President, Northeast, Ray Atkin is a recent addition to the Buch team. With 39 years experience in the industry, Ray has worked as Director of Construction for Macy’s and has been a director of capital projects at both Macy’s and Bloomingdales. His passion for his work is evident in both his dedication to the job and his enthusiasm when presented with new challenges. A Long Island native, Ray is also an avid sailor in his spare time.
Vice President, Safety, Greg Pool oversees all aspects of safety and field compliance for Buch Construction. Greg joined Buch in 2010, bringing 21 years experience with the United States Air Force where he held several safety positions. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupation Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University and an Associates Degree in Construction Technology and Occupational Safety and Health from the Community College of the Air Force.
Director, Business Development and Marketing, Julia Facchina Corona works with company leaders to identify and pursue new business endeavors and oversees Buch Construction’s brand development. She started her career on our team as a Project Engineer and later a Project Manager, managing construction projects ranging from base building to renovations and interiors. Julia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, where she also played varsity tennis. Julia is an active member of CREW DC.
