Breakthrough T1D Real Estate Games 2026

Buch returned to the Breakthrough T1D Real Estate Games, a long-standing tradition for our team!

At Buch, giving back is an important part of who we are, and Breakthrough T1D remains one of the causes we consistently support. Our relationship with Breakthrough T1D spans nearly twenty years, with our first involvement dating back to 2008. The organization’s mission is to drive research with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. They provide resources and advocate for better policies for those affected by Type 1 Diabetes. The Real Estate Games are one of their many fundraising efforts, and this year over $600,000 was raised to support Type 1 Diabetes research.

Buch participated as both a sponsor and a competing team, joining peers and partners for a full day of activity! The day kicked off with basketball, followed by several individual events. We had team members competing in the lacrosse fastball challenge, the hockey shootout challenge, the ropes course, and the rock wall. Jack Saunderson represented Buch in the Men’s Under 40 50-Yard Freestyle, taking third place overall.

The largest team event was volleyball, but we had teams competing in pickleball and smash ball as well. There were more than just traditional athletic activities; the Real Estate Games has competitions for a wide range of skillsets. Teams could compete in a giant Jenga challenge as well as a puzzle competition, and there was a scavenger hunt ongoing throughout the day for another opportunity to earn points.

More than anything, the Real Estate Games continue to bring together our people and our industry for a shared purpose. It is a day our team looks forward to each year, combining friendly competition with meaningful impact.

Thank you again to Breakthrough T1D for hosting such an engaging event. We are proud to support the cause, and we are already eagerly awaiting next year’s Real Estate Games!
