The new Kiehl’s shop in Nolita marks L’Oréal’s first North American prototype and a landmark design‑build project for Buch. Partnering with CREATE Architecture Planning & Design, we delivered a highly customized retail environment that blends Kiehl’s iconic brand identity with modern, experiential design.
Built within a prewar building that was 17 inches out of square, the project required precise planning and creative solutions to achieve a clean, symmetrical layout. The store features globally sourced, bespoke finishes—including custom stone, concrete panels, millwork, furniture, lighting, and a specialty jukebox—chosen to elevate the in‑store experience.
Despite structural challenges and extensive customization, Buch completed the project on schedule, delivering a high‑impact retail space that sets a new standard for future Kiehl’s concepts. The Nolita location showcases our expertise in complex design‑build delivery, precision execution, and premium retail construction.
