Monumental Sports & Entertainment Network

Washington, DC

Buch partnered with Monumental Sports & Entertainment on their corporate office fit-out across multiple floors and state-of-the-art broadcast facility within a prestigious office building in Washington, DC. Tackling the complexities of working within an occupied space, our team navigated challenging scheduling and logistics, operating around the clock as necessary. Central to the project was the implementation of new mechanical and power systems, including a new 2000A PEPCO service, a 1250 kW generator, and cooling infrastructure.

A pivotal aspect of the project was the extensive structural steel work required to create space for the broadcast studio, facilitating the achievement of 16′ tall ceilings within the confines of a building with limited vertical space. Meticulously coordinated crane picks facilitated the installation of equipment and structural elements without disrupting operations at Capital One Arena. Diligent attention was given to noise control measures to ensure optimal broadcasting conditions through the installation of specialized materials and systems. Additionally, a central data center was established to support broadcasting operations and connectivity needs, positioning the facility as the central hub for MSE’s broadcasting activities to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasting capabilities even in the event of power loss.
