Buch has partnered with Nordstrom on both new store build-outs and renovations, delivering turnkey retail spaces that meet brand standards, operational needs, and demanding schedules. Across multiple locations, Buch completed full shell and tenant improvement scopes, coordinating interior and exterior construction while adapting to evolving design requirements and active retail environments.

Lakeland, FL

Buch completed a 30,703 SF turnkey build-out for the first Nordstrom Rack in the Lakeland market. The scope included both shell and TI work, with new loading dock equipment, minor exterior paving improvements, and installation of new rooftop units. Inside, the project included all new MEP systems, structural framing, painting, polished concrete flooring, millwork, and shelving/fixturing, along with low-voltage and security systems. During construction, the team addressed onsite conditions, incorporated updates to Nordstrom’s evolving specifications, and accommodated design changes requested by the landlord. The project was completed on schedule to meet the planned October turnover. Nordstrom noted the team’s performance in scheduling coordination, communication, and job site cleanliness.

Sarasota, FL
The Sarasota project involved a 40,318 SF turnkey build-out, also including both shell and TI scopes of work. Construction included new loading dock equipment, exterior improvements, new rooftop units, and complete interior MEP systems. Interior finishes consisted of new demising walls, painting, flooring, millwork, and retail shelving/fixturing.

Durham, NC
Buch partnered with Nordstrom on a major occupied renovation at the Southpoint store in Durham. The multiphase project included remodeling of dressing rooms and restrooms, along with finish upgrades throughout the 139,435 SF store. Improvements included new flooring, casework, ceilings, and lighting.

Because the store remained open to customers daily, the project required a heightened focus on cleanliness, safety, and coordination to minimize disruption to ongoing retail operations.
