Artline Reflection Apartments

Buch Construction partnered with The Bernstein Companies to complete a full renovation of Artline Reflections, a 115,000‑square‑foot historic multifamily building in Washington, D.C. The project modernized residential units and building infrastructure while working within the constraints of an existing, historically significant complex.

Project Highlights:

  • Replacement of 450+ windows throughout the building
  • Full renovation of residential units, including new modern finishes and upgrades
  • Created new amenity spaces, including a fitness center, community center, and mail/package room
  • Complete installation of an all-new MEP systems, featuring:
    • New switchgear
    • Full hydronic and plumbing piping systems replacement
    • Individual in-unit fan coil units
  • Reconfiguration of corridors and unit layouts, increasing the building from 128 to 160 units
  • Construction of new MEP chases and upgrades to the mechanical room
  • Installation of a new sprinkler and fire protection system 
    • Including new incoming fire service line
  • New meter room and power infrastructure allowing for individual unit metering
  • Integration of two new Pepco electrical services
