Discovery Meadows

Buch was contracted to renovate a 1,200 sq. ft. open lower-level classroom space and transform it into two fully functional classrooms. The project included the installation of custom casework, which was designed and fabricated by our subcontractor, ICS.

The existing exposed concrete floors were scheduled to be polished and left exposed, but prior to finishing, Buch performed sawcutting to accommodate new plumbing and sanitary piping required for three sinks in each classroom. Two existing bathrooms were fully demolished and redesigned, receiving all new plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, and updated tile finishes.

To support the revised layout, new fire alarm devices were installed throughout the space. Additionally, ductwork and sprinkler system modifications were completed to ensure each classroom met proper HVAC requirements for TAB as well as updated life-safety standards for sprinkler coverage.
